A Medusa in DnD is a species--a monster type. There are many of them--DnD mythology is not the same as real world mythology. Medusa is NOT just one Gorgon in DnD. I quote from the ADnD Monster Manual: " Medusae are hateful humanoid creatures which dwell in dark caves or caverns, venturing forth on occasion to seek prey. They try to beguile humans to look into their eyes."
Also: WE PLAY HOMEBREW AD&D + 3.5 HYBRID.
AND THIS REGARDING TIEFLINGS. Notice the word "often" as opposed to "always". Changes the meaning of the sentence doesn't it? And yeah I have read the 3.5 Monster Manual entry for tieflings but we play homebrew so my first like nine game sessions were totally AD&D despite the fact that I was allowed a 3.5 character race. If I want my tiefling's demonic lineage to be more recent nothing is preventing me--I have a whole back story for her too. I'm not confused about tieflings and half-fiends. We may have simplified our explanation to Sasha (since she's a brand new player) for expediency's sake. So fucking sorry. (That last sentence there was sarcasm, by the way.)

Hey mandy. In a roleplayng game it is the GM that ultimatly decides whats ok NOT THE RULES. If your gm says it is ok to have a modern cyborg ala Terminator in D&D thats ok since you dont allways followt the ruled to the letter. Sometimes you d and sometimes you dont, it is all about having fun and if some rules take away from that you just skip em. Keep up the good work!
This is the sexiest fit of nerd rage I've ever seen.
"It could be worse! We could be doing Dance Dance Revolution. And then I wouldn't be friends with any of you guys!"
When the GM say's that the Medusa's daughter has been kidnapped by demons... um I mean Goblins, you might want to pack some extra holy water just in case. Um saving a evil aligned NPC that can turn you to stone with a glance is going to be interesting...
Game looks fun as hell. Ignore the "Rules Nazis".
I am always puzzled by those who are committed to a rigid, and inflexible "fantasy" realm as defined by the books. To me, these people simply do not have the balls to write their own worlds and adventures. It is spectacularly more challenging to create, rather than follow the books to the letter.
Freedom is about bending the rules. Homebrew rules, and your game looks really fun to me.
And has the hottest Role-playing posse ever.
Looking forward to the next "Hit with an Axe"
Thanks,
This is basically the greatest response to criticism of all time.
I loveloveLOVE how nerdy this blog is becoming.
pure nerdy hawtness. yes.
The internet: enabling dicks for over 20 years. Sorry the nerd police hassled you. About ten years ago I wrote "A Guide to Hell" for AD&D 2nd edition. I spent months researching and writing that book, trying to both recap info that appeared in dozens of sources and add new material. Sure enough, when it came out, I got flamed for getting certain things "wrong" if they didn't match the pre-conceived notions of some of the more rabid players. So fuck the haters and just have fun with your game.
you like neurosis mmm thats cool!!!
So I watched it. I was interested at first because the idea of women into D&D is sexy to start with, never mind beautiful women.
I was disappointed though. It was a bunch of porn stars playing D&D and not really knowing anything about it.
It would be more interesting to see you guys dressed up in D&D fantasy costumes.
@ Skorpio: Uh, fantasy D&D costumes, nah not for me thanks, not when I'm actually playing a game. I don't mind dressing up and being sexy (clearly my "career choice" is evidence of that) and I like the metal-bikini Diablo II-ish type idea for a Halloween costume (maybe) but yeah the show is about me and my friends playing D&D...why would you have expected anything else? It's not porn and we never said it would be anything other than what it is.
The highlight of episode three is butt photos.
The frustrating thing is that the players are trying to do stuff and the gm isn't handling it well. For example, one girl want to use charisma on the dark elves and the gm didn't really follow up on that. Not that I understood what happened next anyways since the scene cut and the rest was completely random.
Someone commented that episode five is alright so we shall see.
I'm really enjoying I Hit it With My Axe so far, don't be discouraged by the douche bags commenting on the Escapist site. I think it's a lot easier for people to appreciate if they've actually played D&D, that's probably why so many people are being jerks. Keep it up!
Ever applied to be the horrorfest girl! You'd be perfect
Love you and Zak, very genuine and sweet (you read to him when he's drawing).
All your health issues sound like an overactive immune system to me. Have you ever looked into helminthic therapy? As with any alt therapies, do plenty of your own research. The "crazy" thing (unless your references to it are normal crazy... if so have fun) has usually been helped (3 for 3 so far, friends/friends-family so far all diagnosed bi-polar) with omega-3 (fish oil), B vitamins and lithium orotate(less than $20 a month to go from "psycho" to even-keel).

1--you're a dipshit
2--"not knowing anything about it?" in what possible sense, dipshit? Be specific or don't be.
3--There was absolutely nothing Frankie wanted to do with those elves she didn't have an opportunity to do. I merely said she didn't need to roll until she had some specific thing she wanted them to do.
4--You're still a dipshit.
5--I'm sorry you're too slow to be able to follow the show.
I love d&d, I love intelligent hot girls, and I love alternative porn stars. This show is my new side fun.
